In Austin, the industry adding the most jobs is professional and business, which grew by 12,500 jobs, or 7.4%, over the last 12 months. Wholesale trade grew fastest, at 9.2%, and added 4,600 jobs. Also growing at faster-than-average rates are transportation, warehousing and utilities (8.0% or 1,600 jobs); other services (6.0% or 2,600 jobs); leisure and hospitality (5.4% or 6400 jobs); and financial activities (5.0% or 2,900 jobs).
